Benefits of Active Travel


Active children do better in every possible way. Their mental and physical health improves, they perform better in school, are better behaved and have better concentration and attendance.


Benifits of active travel extends to children's families, the local community and schools. This includes reducing local traffic and congestion and even improving exam results. 

The Government recommends that children do at least 60 minutes of activity per day. The journey to school can be an important contributor to this.
